2004 - Conference on “Freight traffic in sensitive areas”

The Alpine Initiative was able to present the Alpine Crossing Exchange to different cantonal and national politicians. The project was also an important part of the organisation’s international activities. During a lobbying trip to Austria, the Alpine Initiative presented the ACE in Vorarlberg, the Tyrol and Salzburg. The Alpine Crossing Exchange was also discussed at the international conference on “Sustainable Freight Transport in Sensitive Areas” in Vienna. The Alpine Initiative distributed flyers in German, French, Italian and English to increase awareness of the idea of an exchange for freight traffic. The Alpine Initiative demanded the immediate implementation of this exchange whenever the opportunity arose.
