The new ÖVP/SPÖ government in Austria included the “creation of an Alpine Crossing Exchange” in its government programme: “The Federal government is going to elaborate a new strategy for more realistic pricing of freight transport. In addition, Austria will strive to create an Alpine Crossing Exchange together with its neighbours.” (crossing exchange)
