May 2009 - ACE in the Brenner Action Plan
The countries bordering the planned Brenner base tunnel and its neighbouring regions and the participating railway companies affirmed, that they want to push ahead with the Brenner base tunnel.
On May 7th, the Transport Ministers of the Alpine Countries met as part of the “Suivi de Zurich” process and communicated their positive attitude towards transport management systems in sensitive regions such as the Alps. They will pursue them further and a study is to have a closer look at their possible introduction.
Three systems are to be followed up:

Relieving the Alps of heavy goods traffic
